Chico Velo Ride Rangers

Picture
The Ride Rangers are a key component of our Velo Bike Squad volunteer program, and a great way to be a bicycle ambassador! Ride Rangers provide ‘on the bike’ support to fellow riders at Chico Velo events. Here's how it works:
  • Ride Rangers get a special version of the Chico Velo jersey with the ‘Ride Ranger’ emblem on front and back, at a discounted price of $40 (basically at our cost).
  • Ride Rangers get entry to Chico Velo events at a discounted price (again, at our cost) using a special discount code.
In return, Ride Rangers wear their jerseys at Chico Velo events and make themselves available to help/support other riders by answering questions, helping with navigation and route options or even just providing support and encouragement. There's no need to commit to ride the more challenging routes or at a fast pace (in fact our greatest need is for Rangers on the so-called 'easier routes', with slower riders), and no number of rides is required.

Interested? If you're a cyclist who's familiar with our local rides, with a helpful personality, you'll be an excellent candidate. Fill out our Bike Squad application online or print the PDF and fax or email it to us ASAP!
