Chico Velo Annual Awards

Chico Velo celebrates the achievement of bike-minded individuals and organizations in our community with our Annual Awards. The Awards are bestowed at our Holiday Fundraiser each December, in the following categories:
  • Best-for-Bikes Business – business that provided most exemplary bike facilities for employees and/or customers, and led the community in promoting bikes for transportation to and from their business
  • Civic Advocate – governmental agency, organization, or individual who most exceeded job requirements to improve Chico’s “bike-ability”
  • Community Advocate – individual in the community who brought about the greatest change in the landscape of cycling possibilities in Chico
  • Volunteer of the Year – individual who contributed most to Chico Velo in the past year!
  • Life-time Achievement – honoring an individual or group for significant, sustained, ongoing contribution to Chico Velo and the community over the years
