The Tour de Ed is an annual family friendly bicycle ride through the Chico area blossoming almond orchards.
Every year we remember Ed McLaughlin, Chico Velo founder, by riding around the beautiful blossoming almond orchards around Chico, CA. In 2007, local bicycle advocate, Ed McLaughlin, suffered a severe neck injury in a bicycle accident in Bidwell Park. The first year’s ride was to help with Ed’s medical bills. A well-known figure in Chico, his injury mobilized the community to come to his support. His accident demonstrated the need for cycling education and safety within our community where all the proceeds from the event are directed.
Join us in honoring Ed and support cycling with this very fun, family friendly ride.
Registration includes coffee, breakfast, and rest stop entry.
Pre-registration ends Thursday, February 28, 2019, at midnight.
