Chico Bike Park:

Mountain Bike Skills Park for the North State and Beyond!

The Chico Bike Park is gearing up to be THE mountain biking destination in Northern California! After much community input, and working with experienced bike park builder, American Ramp Company, we are excited to share the proposed site plan sketch for the up and coming Chico Bike Park.

Located next to Marsh Junior High School on Humboldt Road between Forest Avenue and Notre Dame Boulevard, this currently vacant parcel of land is part of the Chico Area Recreation District, who has envisioned the many amazing community parks Chico currently enjoys.

Maintaining the natural beauty of Chico and the foothills is an important aspect of this project. The current parcel of land is dotted with beautiful mature oak trees and natural grasses. Healthy trees will be persevered and incorporated into the design of the park, as well as an emphasis on natural and native landscaping. This park is going to be as beautiful as it is functional, with low lighting to emphasize the landscape and reduce light pollution for the surrounding community.

One of the goals of the Chico Bike Park is to ensure a space for riders of all experience levels, from young kids just learning to ride, to seasoned veterans looking to hone their technical skills; the Chico Bike Park will have different areas focused on various skills and abilities.
Learn more about the proposed features of this bike park, here: Chico Bike Park Community Presentation

Not Just Bikes!

While Chico Velo's passion is obviously in bikes, this park emphasizes recreation opportunities for the entire community. We are excited to also incorporate a play ground, picnic area, and dog park into the site design. Our goal is to create a new outdoor community space for all to enjoy!
