2012 Tour of the Unknown Valley

Starting in 2011, we've combined our Tour of the Unknown Valley North and South rides to make one fantastic ride in late March.

Information about the route:
There is one 77 mile loop offered. The route goes south from Orland to Willows on flat country roads, then heads west to Elk Creek. There’s one three mile climb before coming into Elk Creek. The route then turns north along Stony Creek, Grindstone Creek coming out of the Yolla Bollys, to Chrome, Burrows Gap and then into Newville. Turning east, the course rolls past Black Butte Lake and into Orland for the finish dinner at the Glenn County Fairgrounds. 3 rest stops during the ride, and SAG support will be provided. Helmets are REQUIRED!


On ride day, registration & start between 7 am - 9 am at the Glenn County Fairgrounds in Orland, California. Take I-5 to Orland and exit at Hwy 32. Head east towards Chico, turning south on Woodward Ave to the Glenn County Fairgrounds. Camping and showers are available at the Glenn County Fairgrounds.
